“How do I prepare beets?” “Have you used this vegetable before?” What variety is this and what can I do with it?” These questions are music to my ears.
Hi, I’m Jennifer- the culinary creator, educator, photographer and stylist, writer, recipe developer, and face behind oh! relish.
A little background…
The moment I set foot on small flower and vegetable farm in rural Idaho, I knew my calling was food. Since then, I have worked with people of all ages - youth and families, educators, farmers, brands, companies, and chefs across the country to cultivate healthy communities through education and awareness.
Working with others inspires me. I’m a natural bridge builder and enjoy devising experiences that allow people to realize their full potential. Seeing others grow is my fuel. I jump at the opportunity to share a new recipe or an idea.
Throughout my career, I’ve owned my own personal chef service and worked with the Slow Food movement and The Edible Schoolyard. I’ve created revenue-generating programs that focus on education and the benefits of growing, cooking, and eating with the seasons. I’ve sourced ingredients and created recipes for brands and companies. I have seen firsthand how transformative sharing stories around a kitchen table and having an understanding where our food comes from can be.
No matter what place I may be living or traveling, you will find me shopping at a farmers market, seeking out the best bakeries, restaurants and coffee shops in the city, taking or teaching a community class, and always scheming up something delicious. I love collaboration, and I welcome opportunities to learn, share, create, travel, and spend time in nature.
